A Southern Indiana teenager charged in connection with a fire that killed three small children--was sentenced to 20 years in prison May 29.
Eighteen-year-old Shelby Makowsky pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder.
The judge handed down the maximum sentence.
She was in the car with Cody Cashion when he fired a flare gun into a home on Ealy Street in New Albany. Four small children were sleeping inside. Three died but a 3-year-old girl survived.
