Der Spiegel Mistakenly Publishes George H.W. Bush Obituary

Germany's respected news weekly Der Spiegel mistakenly published an obituary Sunday for former U.S. President George H.W. Bush, hours after a family spokesman said the 88-year-old was recovering from illness.
Bush was hospitalized in Houston Nov. 23 for treatment of a bronchitis-related cough and moved to intensive care on Dec. 23 after he developed a fever. On Saturday, spokesman Jim McGrath said Bush was moved out of intensive care into a regular hospital room again after his condition improved.
The unfinished obituary appeared on Der Spiegel's website for only a few minutes Sunday before it was spotted by Internet users and removed.
In it, the magazine's New York correspondent described Bush as "a colorless politician" whose image only improved when it was compared to the later presidency of his son, George W. Bush.
"All newsrooms prepare obituaries for selected figures," the magazine said on its Twitter feed. "The fact that the one for Bush senior went live was a technical mistake. Sorry!"

Octomom To Blow Off Porn Awards Show?

Octomom Nadya Suleman To Blow Off Porn Awards Show?

Nadya Suleman's solo porn video is nominated for four AVN Awards, but if she wins she won't be there to accept.
Octomom's manager, Gina Rodriguez, said her client will not be appearing at the Jan. 19 porn industry event in Las Vegas, even though Suleman's solo sex vid, "Octomom: Home Alone" is nominated for "Best Celebrity Sex Tape," "Best DVD Extras," "Best Marketing Campaign" and "Best Solo Release."
This announcement contradicts earlier comments by Suleman herself, who told The Huffington Post:
“I’m very excited to attend the AVN Awards," Suleman told The Huffington Post when the nominations were released earlier this month. “I’ve never been to anything like that before so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Scientific Evidence Reveals "Fountain of Youth"

Scientific Evidence Reveals "Fountain of Youth" Formula

Scientists have targeted a very powerful hormone responsible for human growth and cell regeneration that, once harnessed, has all the properties of a bona fide "fountain of youth."
It's known as "Human Growth Hormone" and it's an extremely important part of our body's functioning at the cellular level.
In fact, not only does HGH promote the growth and regeneration of cells; it also allows other vital functions in our bodies to occur, including...
  • Metabolism
  • Brain function
  • Sexual responses
  • Healing
  • Muscle growth
... and more.
However, as we age we experience a drop in HGH levels. All the normal results of aging occur in direct correlation to this drop in HGH.
For years, we've simply assumed that this is a natural part of the aging process. And we assumed there was nothing we could do about it.
But after a great deal of scientific research and clinical trials, we now know: We were wrong!

The Benefits of HGH

In study after study, the benefits of HGH are clear - and they are impressive.
HGH has been proven to have far-reaching effects, including all of the following:
  • Wrinkle disappearance
  • Improved overall life outlook
  • Exercise tolerance
  • New hair growth
  • Healing capacity
  • Skin elasticity
  • Back flexibility
  • Muscle size
  • Body fat loss
  • Sexual function, sexual potency/frequency
  • Improved cognition and memory
  • Stabilize your moods
  • Lower your blood pressure
... And more!

But How Does It Work?

In simplified terms, HGH is basically like sipping from a fountain of youth. When HGH levels are increased in your body, you literally turn back the clock to rediscover a more youthful you.
For example, here are a few of the benefits of HGH, with a quick explanation of HOW this little hormone can have such dramatic effects:
  • Weight loss

HGH can help you lose weight easily, and here's why: When you increase the levels of HGH in your body, you increase your metabolism (or metabolic rate). This means your body can process nutrients faster and more efficiently, which leads to rapid - and effortless - weight loss.
  • Improved memory

HGH can also help to improve your failing memory by rejuvenating the cells in your brain. With increased cellular health, your cognitive function (awareness, thinking, and memory) are improved.
  • Increased skin elasticity

The cell-regenerating properties of HGH mean that time can literally be turned back, reducing those fine lines and wrinkles and giving your skin the elasticity and healthy glow of your youth.
  • Increased sex drive

One of the biggest benefits of HGH is that it can directly impact your waning sex drive. As we age, our libido naturally drops - for some people, severely. There are a number of factors that cause this, including hormones, skin sensitivity, blood pressure, and more.
HGH improves all the key functions required to regain a vigorous, healthy sex life.
The many benefits of HGH are astounding. Treatment, however, is a little tricky. Let's have a look at some of the treatment options for HGH.

Treatment Options for HGH Therapy

Traditionally, patients in need of Human Growth Hormone treatments had to subject themselves to a course of multiple injections of HGH from the pituitary glands of cadavers.
While this treatment option was effective (if somewhat ghoulish), there were two major drawbacks:
  1. The benefits of HGH injections were only temporary, so the injection therapy had to be repeated over and over.
  2. The treatment was very expensive - adding up to tens of thousands of dollars per year.
For the average person suffering the ravages of aging, this form of treatment simply wasn't an option.
Another option that became available was to orally ingest human growth hormone. However, the molecular size of HGH and its incompatibility with the digestive system means that taking HGH by mouth simply doesn't work.
But a recent scientific breakthrough has made HGH accessible to everyone. The new method of treatment is not actually using human growth hormone itself.
Instead, it's a complex blend of proteins, amino acids, herbs, and other nutrients specially formulated to help stimulate your body to produce its own HGH.
The formula targets the anterior pituitary gland, causing it to produce and secrete more HGH into your body. The result is that your body's systems begin to improve and function like that of a much younger person.
To find out more about how you can stimulate the production of HGH in your body and combat wrinkles, muscle loss, weight gain, and a lagging libido today, go to GenF20.com.

Montana Man Killed by Grizzlies

A 24-year-old trainer was mauled to death Sunday while cleaning the Animals of Montana grizzly bear enclosure in Bozeman, Mont., officials say.
Animals of Montana, a wildlife casting agency, said it regards the death of Benjamin Cloutier, a former Pennsylvania resident, as a possible accident rather than an attack.

"We do not believe it was an attack. The victim has been with us since 2008. He was a highly experienced trainer, and it is unlikely that the bears caused his death," Animals of Montana's lead head trainer, Demetri Price, told ABC News. "He had the right safety equipment and the right training to avoid that kind of attack. The investigators are looking into other causes of death. He might have accidentally slipped in the cage or hit his head prior to the mauling."

Animals of Montana provides captive-bred wild animals for photography shoots and motion pictures. Adam, Griz, and Yosemite were the "Trio of Grizzly Bears" that the organization said it proudly offered to clients. Griz was put down so that Cloutier's body could be retrieved.
"Griz and Yosemite look like they have been involved in the mauling. At the time we found our trainer, Griz had a grip on him. This was a life and death situation where I was putting my safety at risk while trying to save our trainer, whom we suspected might still be alive. Our initial abating techniques failed and destroying Griz was our last resort to retrieve our trainer in the safest way possible," said Price. who told ABC News that the Animals of Montana owner Troy Hyde was on a trip to Los Angeles when the incident happened.

Hyde's attorney, Chuck Watson, said that the cause of the Cloutier's death is yet to be determined pending an autopsy. "The circumstantial evidence we have so far does not suggest a bear attack since there weren't any defense wounds. Of course, we'll have to wait for the autopsy results to find out what really happened," said Watson.
The death is being investigated by the Gallatin County Coroner and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks wardens.

"We are the ones who issue licenses for facilities like Animals of Montana to keep a wild animal like a grizzly bear captive," Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks warden's Public Information Officer Andrea Jones told ABC News. "From the way it looks, the trainer and the facility did not violate any of our licensing rules and regulations at the time of the incident. The man was operating within the normal business hours and met all the regulations involved in his activity. It is up to the coroner and the Sheriff's office to rule the cause of death."

"We suffered a double loss," said Price. "We lost a very valuable trainer, tragically, and we lost one of our most precious bears. We invested in Griz hours and hours of training and love and care."

"It's very tragic that they suffered these losses," said attorney Watson. "Destroying the bear must have been a difficult decision since, believe me, the last thing these people want to do is kill an animal. But it was a life and death situation and it must have been devastating."

Obama, Romney Tie in Dixville Notch

The first votes are in!
Ten of them, anyway. And it's an Obama, Romney tie.
The small hamlet of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire distinguishes itself every primary and general election by voting right at midnight.
Obama won the Dixville Notch vote in 2008. But in elections before that, the town had stuck to more conservative candidates, twice selecting a Republican instead of Bill Clinton.
Dixville Notch and its 10 voters may be symbolic, but they're not a bellwether for the state. Obama won in Dixville Notch in 2008, but that was the first time a majority of the town went for a Dem in 40 years.

Hulk Hogan fearing another sex tape could be leaked

The shirt say it well.
FURTHER embarrassment could be heaped on Hulk Hogan and his family following claims ANOTHER sex tape starring the wrestler could surface online.
A one-minute clip featuring the 59-year-old muscleman and the ex-wife of his DJ pal Bubba The Love Sponge emerged last week.

It shows the wrestling legend stripping off before climbing into a four-poster bed with Heather Clem and is thought to be just a snippet from 30 minutes of X-rated footage.
And now it’s been reported that Hulk has warned his ex-wife Linda, his daughter Brooke and son Nick that this wasn’t his only sexual tryst caught on camera.
It comes after Linda Bollea added to the family woes last week when she was arrested for drink-driving.
A source told RadarOnline: “Hulk is very concerned that a new sex tape could emerge.
“After the first video was leaked he warned Linda, Brooke and Nick that he could have been caught on camera in the past.
“The family is absolutely mortified their name has been sullied in such a tacky way. They never imagined that Hulk could drag them into such an embarrassing situation.
“Hulk’s admission has left the family praying that their reputation isn’t further muddied – last week was a week to forget for the Hogans, including Linda’s DUI arrest.
“But only time will tell if another sex tape finds it way on the internet. The family is certainly bracing for the worst.”
Meanwhile, Hulk has confirmed the woman in the tape is Heather – and says his pal Bubba gave the sexual encounter his blessing.
The wrestler revealed to DJ Howard Stern he had sex with the former bikini model six years ago.
Although it’s not known who leaked last week’s tape, it’s claimed that Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – played no part in its emergence.
A source said: “Hulk didn’t leak the tape. He probably didn’t even have a copy of it.”
In the steamy video, the WWF champ takes a call from son Nick before romping with brunette Heather.
After their love-making concludes, Hulk tells his lover: “I feel like I just got off a ******* rollercoaster.
“Be cool. You're awesome.”

13,000 received potentially tainted steroid shots

As many as 13,000 people received steroid shots suspected in a national meningitis outbreak, health officials said Monday. But it's not clear how many are in danger.
Officials don't how many of the shots may have been contaminated with meningitis-causing fungus tied to the outbreak. And the figure includes not only those who got them in the back for pain - who are most at risk - but also those who got the shots in other places, like knees and shoulders.
Those injected in joints are not believed to be at risk for fungal meningitis, said Curtis Allen, a spokesman for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He said there was no breakdown available of how many had the shots in the back or in joints.
The CDC count of cases reached 105 on Monday, including eight deaths. A ninth death was reported late Monday by a Nashville, Tenn., hospital.
Tennessee has the most cases, followed by Michigan, Virginia, Indiana, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina and Ohio.
All had received shots for back pain, and investigators suspect a steroid medication made by a specialty pharmacy. About 17,700 single-dose vials of the steroid sent to 23 states have been recalled. Inspectors found at least one sealed vial contaminated with fungus, and tests were being done on other vials.
The first known case of the rarely seen fungal meningitis was diagnosed last month in Tennessee. The steroid maker, New England Compounding Center of Framingham, Mass., recalled the drug, and over the weekend recalled everything else it makes.
"While there is no indication at this time of any contamination in other NECC products, this recall is being taken as a precautionary measure," the company said in a statement.
Meningitis is an inflammation of the lining of the brain and spinal cord, and a back injection would put any contaminant in more direct contact with that lining.
Symptoms on meningitis include severe headache, nausea, dizziness and fever. The CDC said many of the cases have been mild and some people had strokes. Symptoms have been appearing between one and four weeks after patients got the shots.
A Michigan man whose wife's death was linked to the outbreak said Monday that he, too, was treated with steroids from one of the recalled batches.
"Not only have I lost my wife, but I'm watching the clock to see if anything develops," George Cary said, as friends and family gathered for his wife's wake in Howell, 60 miles northwest of Detroit.
His wife, Lilian, 67, had been ill since late August, but meningitis wasn't detected until Sept. 22, her husband said. She suffered a stroke and died Sept. 30, he said.
Michigan officials have not released the names of two people who have died in the outbreak in that state, but did say one was a 67-year-old woman.
Fungal meningitis is not contagious like the more common forms. The two types of fungus linked so far to the outbreak are all around, but very rarely causes illness. Fungal meningitis is treated with high-dose antifungal medications, usually given intravenously in a hospital.
The steroid is known as preservative-free methylprednisolone acetate, which the compounding pharmacy creates by combining a powder with a liquid.
Doctors should contact any patient who got doses from any of the recalled lots, and should look back at their records as far back as mid-May, CDC officials say.

Virginia man kills family - feared Obama re-election

Virginia man kills family and himself over fear Obama would be re-elected

A Virginia man allegedly killed himself and his family earlier this week in part because he was upset by the thought of President Barack Obama being re-elected.
“He felt that our God-given rights were being taken away,” a family friend identified as “Maggie L.” told The Daily Mail. “He didn’t like where the country was going.”
The friend said Albert Peterson, a defense contractor, had a history of paranoia and was also affected by a favorite uncle’s recent suicide. On Wednesday, The Washington Post reported that Peterson, his wife Kathleen and their two sons, Matthew and Christopher, were found dead in their home.

According to The Mail, authorities believe Peterson shot his wife and the children before turning the gun on himself. Maggie told the newspaper that his family had a history of mental illness; his father killed himself when Peterson was young, and the death of his mother five years ago, she said, nearly drove him to suicide before Kathleen saved him.
But more recently, Maggie said, Peterson was behaving erratically, sending paranoid political emails daily to family and friends.
“They were very well off people and they saved a lot of money,” she said about the Petersons. “He couldn’t understand how the government could be so irresponsible and he thought it would be on the backs of his boys.”
WJLA-TV reported on Wednesday that friends of the family and classmates of Matthew and Christopher held a vigil to support each other.

“It doesn’t really hit you until you get to school to know that you’re never going to see them at school anymore, or anytime,” said a family friend, Jazmine Mitchell.
WJLA’s report from the vigil for the Peterson family, aired Wednesday night, can be seen below.

Anyone thinking of taking their life is advised to call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255.

Woman Arrested For Shooting Up Heroine...While Driving.

Woman Arrested For Shooting Up Heroine...While Driving.

By Dorraine Fisher

A 25-year old Ohio woman was arrested last week for narcotics possession... with a twist.

Abby Elsner was spotted on the road by a Dayton police officer on Friday. He noticed the woman had her arms in the air, and he had a clear view of her injecting herself with the needle.

“I observed she was holding her right forearm in plain view where there was a hypodermic syringe needle sticking out of her arm. With her left hand, she was manipulating the needle into her forearm,” Officer Mark Orick reported. It was also noted that she had been steering her 2003 Honda Civic with her knee.

When Elsner realized she had been spotted, she promptly pulled out the needle and tossed it over to her passenger, 36-year-old Shawn Abby, who was observed attempting to stash the needle in her waistband when the officer approached.

A search of the vehicle turned up heroine and drug paraphernalia and both women were arrested. ***

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran Needs History Lesson

Defying a warning by the United Nations secretary general against inflammatory remarks, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran said Monday that Israelis had no historical roots in the Middle East and that the existence of Israel was just a passing phase in the region’s long history.

Mr. Ahmadinejad, who arrived in New York on Sunday for the annual General Assembly meeting, made the remarks in a breakfast session with selected members of the media. Later on Monday he spoke at the United Nations; he will speak there again on Wednesday.
At the breakfast meeting, he said that the Israelis had been around the region for only 60 or 70 years, in contrast to the Iranians, whose civilization has existed for thousands of years.
“They have no roots there in history,” Mr. Ahmadinejad said of the Israelis, according to Reuters. “They do not even enter the equation for Iran.”
In a meeting with Iranian expatriates in New York on Sunday evening, Mr. Ahmadinejad belittled Israel’s significance and the military threats Israel has made against his country over its disputed nuclear program. “A number of uncultured Zionists that threaten the Iranian nation today are never counted and are never paid any attention in the equations of the Iranian nation,” Mr. Ahmadinejad said, according to a summary of his remarks on his English-language Web site.
The Iranian president, known for incendiary language against Israel, is in the last nine months of his final term in office, and there had been widespread expectations he would use his remaining appearance at the General Assembly to excoriate and provoke Iran’s enemies, who suspect Iran is developing the ability to make nuclear weapons. Iran has repeatedly denied its nuclear energy program is for military use.
Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who has repeatedly admonished Iranian leaders against making anti-Israel and anti-Semitic remarks, had a conversation with Mr. Ahmadinejad on Sunday to reiterate the warning that such language could cause “potentially harmful consequences,” Mr. Ban’s press office said in a statement.
Mr. Ahmadinejad’s speech on Monday came during a one-day high level conference on implementing universal standards of law. In his comments, he sounded many of the themes that have run through all his past appearances.
Without mentioning any country by name, he lashed out at the United States for ignoring Israel’s nuclear arsenal while trying to shut down Iran’s nuclear program.
“Some members of the Security Council with veto rights have chosen silence with regard to the nuclear warheads of a fake regime, while at the same time they impede the scientific progress of other nations,” he said.
He also indirectly attacked the United States and others for defending freedom of speech even when it defames religion, a reference to the online video attacking the Prophet Muhammad that incited demonstrations around the Muslim world, including Iran, many of them violent, over the past three weeks.
“They themselves wrongly invoke the U.N. charter and misuse freedom of speech to justify their silence toward offending the sanctities of the human community and to divine prophets,” the Iranian leader said.
Mr. Ahmadinejad compared that to reactions to questions he has raised about the Holocaust, although again without being specific. However, he has made the same point over so many visits to the United Nations that the meaning was clear.
“They support these offenders and infringe upon other’s freedom and allow sacrilege to people’s beliefs and sanctities, while they criminalize posing questions or investigating into historical issues and jail the researchers,” he said.
The Iranian leader is scheduled to deliver his General Assembly speech on Wednesday, which coincides with Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism.
Mr. Ahmadinejad’s annual visits to the United Nations have become something of a media event. For the past few years he has stayed at the Warwick in Midtown Manhattan, where cordons of heavy security have kept anti-Iran demonstrators across the street.
The New York Post, which has made no secret of its hostility toward Mr. Ahmadinejad, said it had tried to deliver a gift basket over the weekend to the Warwick filled with items including Gold’s Borscht, Manischewitz gefilte fish, Murray’s Sturgeon Shop whitefish, Zabar’s cream cheese and a free ticket to the Off Broadway show “Old Jews Telling Jokes.” The Post said Iranian officials at the hotel declined to accept it.

Jesus 'Wife' Papyrus Is a Fake

A New Testament scholar has weighed in on the ancient document that mentions Jesus having a wife, the Guardian reports. His verdict: Not worth the papyrus it's written on. "I would be very surprised if it were not a modern forgery," writes Francis Watson of Durham University in an online article. He argues that the sentence fragments on the document are copied—with small changes—from editions of the Gospel of Thomas currently in print.
Watson even spotted a line break in one word that appears taken from a modern version of the gospel, which is an ancient Christian or Gnostic work. "The text has been constructed out of small pieces—words or phrases—culled mostly from the Coptic Gospel of Thomas," he writes. "This level of dependence on extant pieces of Coptic text is more plausibly attributed to a modern author." Watson says the papyrus itself may date back 1,700 years, but the author was modern and had a "limited facility in Coptic."

Synthetic Pot disguised as Scooby Snax

Scooby Snax?

Two men face felony drug-posession charges after investigators confiscated more than 100 pounds of synthetic marijuana, some of it disguised as "Scooby Snax" gum, from a Northwest Side warehouse, police said.

Davendra Patel, 61, and Rajendrakumar Patel, 52, each face felony possession of a controlled substance charges, after police raided a warehouse in the 4100 block of West Belmont Avenue on Monday, according to police. Each was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail in midday Cook County Bond Court hearings today, according to jail records.

After a task force that monitors package carrier shipments to intercept drug shipments alerted police on Friday that a 64-pound drug shipment might be headed to Chicago, police and the state’s attorney’s office were able to get a search warrant for the warehouse, police said in a news release.

The warehouse, which police believe served as a hub for drug-distribution, contained 100 pounds of synthetic marijuana, which was made illegal in Illinois this year. The drugs are estimated to carry a street value of about $775,000, according to police.

Some of the synthetic marijuana was disguised as "Scooby Snax" gum.

In addition to the synthetic marijuana, police also found more 100 cases of drug paraphernalia, including scales and plastic bags to package the drugs, as well as cash, in the warehouse.

Both Devandra Patel, of the 300 block of West Tuttle Drive in Bloomingdale, amd Rajendrakumar Patel, of the 4400 block of West Lawrence Avenue, were arrested at the warehouse, police said.

The arrests represent the first prosecution in Cook County of anyone under the law that made synthetic marijuana illegal, prosecutors said.

The two men are due back in court in Branch 44 of Cook County Criminal Court on Oct. 10.

New Zombie Type Attack!

Another attack!
A naked, bloody man broke into a home, jumped from a two-story window, tackled a passerby and chewed on her head while "screaming like an animal."
The gory scene unfolded Friday night in Hawley, Pa., 40 miles east of Scranton, where 20-year-old Richard Cimino Jr. allegedly went ballistic on a woman and two officers, Patch reported.
At about 5 a.m., Cimino reportedly drove his car off the road behind some houses in the small town. He stripped off his clothes, then tried and failed to break into a nearby home. He was told to leave, so he fled up the street and broke into another home. This one was vacant. He allegedly jumped from a second-story window.
State Trooper David Aulisio told Patch that Cimino "severely injured his arms and extremities" from the fall, but kept going.
Bleeding heavily, he found two women on the street and tackled one of them. Patch reported that he covered her in his blood. Then he began to "gnaw at [her] head, screaming like an animal," Aulisio said.
The women escaped and called police, who found Cimino lying on the road, severely injured and displaying "delusional behavior." Despite the injuries and a jolt from a Taser, Cimino managed to punch an officer in the face before he was arrested.
It's yet unclear whether Cimino was on drugs during the incident, and Pennsylvania police told The Huffington Post today that he's still in the hospital and has yet to be processed.

US ambassador to Libya Killed!

US ambassador to Libya, 3 American staff members killed in attack

The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other American staff members were killed Tuesday in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi, the White House confirmed. President Obama, in a written statement issued Wednesday morning, called the attack "outrageous" and "senseless."
Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was killed Tuesday night when he and a group of embassy employees went to the consulate to try to evacuate staff. The protesters, angry over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad, were firing gunshots and rocket-propelled grenades.
"I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens," President Obama said in a statement Wednesday morning. "Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America's commitment to freedom, justice and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives."

Texas teacher convicted after sex with 5 students

Brittni Nicole Colleps
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A former Texas high school teacher was convicted Friday after having sex with five 18-year-old students at her home.
It took the jury less than an hour to conclude that Brittni Nicole Colleps, 28, of Arlington, was guilty of 16 counts of having an inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher. The second-degree felony is punishable by two to 20 years in prison per count.
Sentencing was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
The former Kennedale High School English teacher had sex with the students at her home over two months in 2011, authorities said.
Colleps is married and has three children. She turned herself in after a cellphone video of one encounter that involved multiple students emerged. That video was shown a trial.
Three former students who testified Thursday said that they did not consider themselves victims and did not want to see their former English teacher prosecuted. The three were football and track athletes.
Arlington police Detective Jason Houston testified that charges were filed because "18 or not, it's a crime" for a teacher to have sex with her students.
Two former students told jurors their relationships with Colleps began with the exchange of text messages that quickly turned sexual.
A 19-year-old testified that he had gone to Colleps' home twice with friends and they all engaged in sexual conduct.

A former student who is now 20 testified that he engaged in group sex and recorded his last encounter on a cellphone. He said initially the students spoke of the importance of keeping their activities quiet because they didn't want their teacher to get in trouble.
The 20-year-old also said when school officials called him into the office to question him in May 2011, he denied the trysts at first because "I was trying to save her."
Colleps' husband was serving in the military overseas at the time of the encounters. Christopher Colleps said Friday that he is mad at his wife, but stands by her "because 'til death do us part means 'til death do us part."
Putting her in jail would punish him and their children for something they had no control over, he said.
Kennedale is a town of about 7,300 residents near Arlington, eight miles southeast of Fort Worth. The high school has about 3,200 students.

Fan Sues After falling in Vomit.

Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale
A PUB landlady from Wales is demanding more than £10,000 in compensation after she slipped on a puddle of puke at a Whitesnake concert.
Lindy Butcher, 39, injured her knees, neck, shoulders and back after tumbling over at the gig at Newport Leisure Centre last December.

Lindy was watching her idols - 80s rockers whose hits include Here I Go Again and Is This Love - when she suddenly slipped and fell onto her knees.

She only realised she'd fallen in someone else's sick when another gig-goer helped her to her feet.
She said: “It was horrifying, you don’t expect to fall in someone’s vomit.”
Lindy, landlady at Newport's Cwmcarn Hotel, was taken to a first aid room where she was cleaned up and treated for her injuries.

Managers at the venue refunded her ticket price, but she has suffered constant pain since and wants compensation from Newport Council, who run the leisure centre.
The council's legal team said staff tried to clean up the puke before Lindy's accident, but couldn't find it.
A spokesman said: “The presence of vomit was reported to staff. However, it was extremely busy in the bar and it was difficult to pinpoint immediately where the vomit was located."

First human West Nile virus case in DuPage County!

Culex mosquitoes is the genus responsible for West Nile virus. (Chris Walker, Chicago Tribune / June 27, 2011)

A Downers Grove woman in her 50s has contracted the first reported human case of West Nile virus in DuPage County this year, the DuPage County Health Department announced today.
Department spokesman David Hass said the county was notified Tuesday about the case and he did not have details about the woman's condition.

West Nile virus has been found in mosquito batches across the state. At least six human cases have been reported this year in Cook County.

"We have been expecting this simply because the weather is very conducive to the kind of mosquitoes that carry West Nile virus," Hass said.

About one in five people infected with the virus develop symptoms like fever, headache, body aches, joint pains, vomiting and diarrhea. Less than 1 percent develop a serious neurological illness like meningitis.
People over the age of 50 and those with medical conditions like cancer, diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease and organ transplants are at greater risk for serious illness, according to the DuPage County Health Department.
People with milder illnesses typically recover on their own. In more sever cases, patients need to be hospitalized for treatment.

Naked Man Covered In Crisco looking to party!

Likes to Party Naked!
It's amazing that cops were able to slip handcuffs on Chad William Forber, considering he was covered head to toe in Crisco when he was arrested.
Forber, 41, was arrested early Monday morning by police in downtown Rock Island, Illinois, who were responding to a call regarding a naked man.
Officers say the suspect was naked and carrying his shorts as well as a can of Crisco, according to The Quad-City Times.

“He had lathered himself up in Crisco. He was covered in grease, and was holding the can under his arm," Rock Island Deputy Chief of Police Jeff VenHuizen told the paper. “He said he was looking for a place to party."

The Crisco can wasn't the only party favor he was carrying, VenHuizen said. Officers examined Forber's shorts and found a small amount of what they suspected to be methamphetamine in his pocket, The Rock Island Argus reported.
Forber was charged with possession of methamphetamine, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Associated Press.
A hearing has been set for Tuesday. Forber is currently being held in the Rock Island County Jail on $40,000 bond. His case has been assigned to the public defender’s office, according to The Quad-Cities Times.

Battle.net HACKED! Millions at risk

WOW = Risk

WOW is right,Millions of games are at risk after Blizzards battle.net was hacked.

Millions of account details for World of Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo players have been stolen in an attack on the maker Blizzard.
Blizzard announced details of the breach in a message posted to its Battle.net account management service.
Players in North America are being advised by Blizzard to change their login details for the account management service.
Blizzard claimed that there is no evidence at this stage to suggest that credit card numbers and other personal details had been stolen.
Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime said the company discovered on August 4th that there had been 'unauthorised and illegal access' to its internal network.
The investigations into the attack have so far revealed that whoever broke in got a copy of a list of all email addresses for users outside China.
Gamers who play World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 use Battle.net as to log in and manage their account.
Also accessed was information about the security questions and account authenticators used by players on North American servers.
This includes players in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, in addition to those found in the US and Canada.
The hackers also stole a crytographically scrambled list of the passwords used on North American Battle.net accounts.
Mr Morhaime said the technique used to hide these words makes it hard to unscramble them.
As a result, Blizzard do not believe that the hackers will be able to access people's Battle.net accounts. However, players on the North America service are still being encouraged to change their passwords.
Blizzard has already implemented steps that force Battle.net users to change their secret questions.
The company stated that it has found 'no evidence' that credit card numbers, billing addresses or real names had been exposed.

We at RNN doubt that the hackers just came in to steal email addresses and if you will remember xbox and Playstation were hacked a several months back. I know it caused a lot of problmes with my personal credit cards, so battle.net user should be watching for unauthorized charges.

Thanks
Tom

Rapist in pics with victim aged 7

A MAN who took pictures of himself raping a seven-year-old girl has been jailed for nine years.

James Felton, 34, was said to have acted in “a moment of madness”.
Cops quizzed him after they were contacted by teachers worried about the child’s behaviour.
Felton denied doing anything wrong but officers found two images of the rape on his mobile.
There were also porn pictures and a video clip of an animated character with a child’s face having sex with two people.

Janet Ironfield, defending, told Preston Crown Court the rape was “opportunistic and impulsive”.
Felton, of Blackpool, Lancs, had claimed he was not sexually interested in children.
But he admitted rape, possessing extreme pornography and an indecent image of a child.
He will be on the Sex Offender Register for life.

Priest Indicted on Sex Charges

Mark Anthony Broussard, 56
The former Lake Area priest accused of sexually assaulting several children decades ago was indicted Thursday by a Calcasieu Parish grand jury on 10 sex-related charges.
Mark Anthony Broussard, 56, faces three counts of molestation of a juvenile, two counts of aggravated oral sexual battery, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of rape and one count of sexual battery.

Broussard was a priest at St. Henry Catholic Church in Lake Charles. He left the church in 1992 and relocated to St. Eugene Catholic Church in Grand Chenier. He resigned from the priesthood in 1994.
The case against Broussard involves several alleged victims.
Broussard was first arrested in March and charged with two counts of aggravated battery and 52 counts of sexual battery after authorities said an investigation revealed that he had inappropriate contact with an 8-year-old boy between 1986 and 1989.

The investigation continued and Broussard was rearrested April 2 and charged with additional 100 counts of sexual battery and 40 counts of aggravated rape after an investigation into claims made by another victim, who is now 36-years-old, authorities said.
On June 27, Broussard was arrested once again, and charged with 24 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and six additional counts of sexual battery after authorities said further investigation revealed Broussard had inappropriate sexual contact with an 8-year-old victim between 1986 and 1987.
Broussard is being represented by attorney Tom Lorenzi.

NEWS: Teacher charged with killing dog!

Derek Fierro
Lakeview man who teaches grade school punched his dog to death because it refused to get into a bathtub after it “ate every piece of paper” in the house and soiled itself, police said.

Derek Fierro, 25, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony, police said. He is a teacher at Eugene Field Elementary School in the 7000 block of North Ashland Avenue, according to police and Chicago Public Schools records.

Fierro, who lives in the 500 block of West Roscoe Street, called 911 about 3 a.m. and asked police to meet him at Roscoe and North Broadway, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

When officers arrived, he told them the dog was in trunk of his car and gave police the keys, Kubiak said. Officers checked it and found the male yellow dog. Fierro was crying when police arrived and said he was sorry about killing his dog, Kubiak said.

Fierro adopted the dog from the Chicago Canine Rescue Foundation last October, according to Lisa Klotnia, the foundation's founder. The dog -- a yellow lab chow mix -- was several months old and had been named Doc because he was part of a litter of seven puppies.

"We reviewed his application, he came to meet Doc and we even did a home visit with him," Klotnia said. "He seemed like a nice and normal guy.

"We try to be part of the dog's life," she said through tears. "If we're ever needed, we let people know were here. That's why it's so devastating. We would have gladly taken this dog back if he was having any problems."

She described Doc as a "real mutt," part Labrador retriever, chow and maybe Alaskan huskie, Klotnia said. "Our hope is to give them a new home and we failed. He was a wonderful little pup."

She said the foundation is reaching out to police to retrieve the dog's remains and have them cremated.

CPS Inspector General James Sullivan said his office will investigate the incident, which could lead to disciplinary action against the teacher. Sullivan said his office always investigates cases where a district employee is arrested and charged with a “serious crime.”

HEALTH: New strain of swine flu!

New strain of swine flu increases to at least 165 cases
Don't pet the pigs.
That's the message state and county fair visitors got Thursday from health officials who reported a five-fold increase of cases of a new strain of swine flu that spreads from pigs to people. Most of the cases are linked to the fairs, where visitors are in close contact with infected pigs.
This flu has mild symptoms and it's not really spreading from person to person.
"This is not a pandemic situation," said Dr. Joseph Bresee of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
But any flu can be a risk for some people, and people should be cautious when they can, he added.
The case count jumped from 29 a week ago to 158 this week, thanks to a wave of new cases in Indiana and Ohio, said Bresee, the agency's chief of influenza epidemiology.
Most of the infected patients are children -- probably because many were working closely with raising, displaying and visiting pigs at the agricultural fairs, Bresee said.

The recent cases include at least 113 in Indiana, 30 in Ohio, one in Hawaii and one in Illinois, Bresee said in a conference call with reporters.
The count is changing rapidly. Indiana health officials on Thursday afternoon said they had seven more confirmed cases than Bresee noted. That would raise the grand total to 165 so far.
Also, diagnosis of cases has become quicker in the last week. CDC no longer must confirm a case with its own lab. Now states are using CDC test kits to confirm cases on their own on, speeding the process along.

The newly reported cases were likely infected a week or two ago.
The CDC has been tracking cases since last summer. A concern: The new strain has a gene from the 2009 pandemic strain that might let it spread more easily than pig viruses normally do.
The good news is the flu does not seem to be unusually dangerous. Almost all of the illnesses have been mild and no one has died. Two of the recent cases were hospitalized, but both recovered and were discharged, Bresee said.
More good news is that all of the recent cases appear to have spread from pigs to humans, meaning it's not very contagious, at least between people. But there probably will be more cases in the weeks ahead, and it won't be surprising if at least a few of them involve person-to-person transmission, Bresee said.
Pigs spread flu virus just like people do, with coughing, sneezing and runny noses, so people can get it by touching pigs or being near them.
Health officials don't think it's necessary to cancel swine shows, but are urging people to take precautions.
Fairgoers should wash their hands and avoid taking food and drinks into livestock barns, officials said, while pregnant women, young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems should be particularly careful.

Health: Unknown illness

Mystery illness causes human nails to grow from woman’s hair follicles
Doctors have yet to determine the cause of a mysterious illness that has triggered a young woman to grow human nails from her hair follicles, Medical Daily reported.

Shanyna Isom, 28, from Memphis, Tenn., said the bizarre condition began three years ago after she suffered from a severe allergic reaction to steroids. Meant to treat her asthma, the steroids instead caused her to start itching all over within hours, and black bumps began to cover her legs.
For two years, Isom sought the help of various doctors, who treated her for everything from eczema to Staphylococcal, Medical Daily said. Soon the skin condition was so debilitating that Isom became bedridden.

Finally in 2011, doctors in Baltimore identified the bizarre bumps to be human nails, and Isom’s skin was in fact suffocating because she was producing 12 times the average amount of skin cells from each hair follicle.
Though doctors have discovered the composition of the bumps, they have yet to diagnose the illness. Isom has now been able to control her symptoms, but fears she cannot continue to pay for treatment as she currently owes $250,000 in medical bills.
Isom has set up the S.A.I. Foundation to help raise money for her treatment
