Eastern Kentucky man charged with murdering son


KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - An arrest had been made in a case from May 2017 in Knox County.
Kentucky State Police said the body of Charles Phipps, 33, of Kay Jay was found inside his home on May 11, 2017. They said his body was burned and an autopsy showed he had what was believed to be a gunshot wound on his torso.

Troopers said on October 31, 2018, they received new information saying Paul Phipps, 60, of Barbourville had shot and killed his son.
