Here is the story on the Post Master General and the "Trump is delaying the mail" issue. The previous Post Master General retired. A replacement for the position comes after Megan Brennan, who has held the position since February 2015, decided to retire from the post. She had intended to retire in January, though this was delayed. She had been a postal employee for 33 years. “When I was appointed Postmaster General, I made a commitment to the Board of Governors that I would serve for five years and it has been my absolute honor to do so,” said Brennan. Brennan had only committed to a 5 year stint as PMG. 
There are nine presidential appointed governors choose the next postmaster general, They serve as a member of the board. The members of the Board of Governors are made of Democrats and Republicans and here is some of them:
