Trump Delaying the Mail? Better Read this!
Here is the story on the Post Master General and the "Trump is delaying the mail" issue. The previous Post Master General retired. A replacement for the position comes after Megan Brennan, who has held the position since February 2015, decided to retire from the post. She had intended to retire in January, though this was delayed. She had been a postal employee for 33 years. “When I was appointed Postmaster General, I made a commitment to the Board of Governors that I would serve for five years and it has been my absolute honor to do so,” said Brennan. Brennan had only committed to a 5 year stint as PMG.
There are nine presidential appointed governors choose the next postmaster general, They serve as a member of the board. The members of the Board of Governors are made of Democrats and Republicans and here is some of them:
Robert M. Duncan, Chairman, mduncan@inezdepositbank.com
John M. Barger, Member, barger.jm@gmail.com
Ron A. Bloom, Member, ron.bloom@brookfield.com
Roman Martinez IV, Member, roman@rmiv.com
Donald L. Moak, Member, lee.moak@moakgroup.com
William D. Zollars, Member, Directoraccessmailbox@cigna.com
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations. It is no secret that the postal system has been mismanaged for many years.
The new PMG, Dejoy, is making many changes to how the mail and management is handled in an effort to make the postal system more efficient and profitable.
Also as a side note, Absentee voting and mailing in voting at handled differently. Absentee voting is seen as much more secure.
Thanks
